Asian Experts Check Rang Dong's Smart Manufacturing Solutions
The delegation of more than 20 experts from the Asian Productivity Organization (APO) visited Rang Dong, fully known as Rang Dong Lighting and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, on December 12, 2024. Joining the visit were also delegates from units under the Vietnam National Standards and Quality Institute (STAMEQ) and representatives of several universities.
Established in 1961 as an intergovernmental organization, the Tokyo-based APO seeks to raise productivity in Asia Pacific through mutual cooperation. It contributes to the region’s sustainable socio-economic development through policy advisory services, acting as a think tank, and undertaking smart initiatives in the industry, agriculture, service and public sectors.
During the visit to Rang Dong, APO experts toured the company’s state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, which operate under the “Make in Vietnam” standard.
They checked the smart product ecosystem, featuring Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things integration, and the advanced Digital Operations Center for its LED, electronics, and lighting equipment factory.
Rang Dong has been leading Vietnam’s lighting industry in integrating cutting-edge technologies into smart manufacturing processes.

During the visit, both sides also discussed on enhancing technical expertise in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, explored opportunities for future ESG capacity-building programs with focus on elevating technical service capabilities and promoting sustainable development.
