Rang Dong Hosts VNU Students for Factory Visit
The visit on May 15 by nearly 80 students from the VNU-International School, Vietnam National University, was part of VNU’s collaboration with businesses to help connect classroom knowledge with real-world industrial experience and explore opportunities of their future jobs.
During the tour, Rang Dong officials told the students about the digital transformation results achieved by the company, fully known as Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, now Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of LED and vacuum flask products and provider of smart lighting solutions.
The students were introduced with Rang Dong’s 4.0 product and service ecosystem, which includes smart lighting, electrical devices, central control systems and integrated solutions for homes, enterprises and smart cities.
They also observed an automated SMT assembly line and an LED Panel production line for export, part of the evident to demonstrate manufacturing capability by Vietnamese enterprises in the global supply chain.
Another highlight of the visit was the Smart Operations Center at the LED Workshop, where real-time management integrates artificial intelligence (AI), big data and Internet of Things technologies into every production stage.
Rang Dong’s engineers and experts then hosted a session where students were encouraged to ask questions about technology, digital transformation and career trends in engineering, manufacturing and innovation.
Rang Dong’s factory visit not only provided VNU students with valuable industry knowledge and real-life exposure, but also reaffirmed the company’s commitment to education and human resource development.
