However, it is just a form of milk bubble tea that has recently been invented in Taiwan. In a familiar way, it is known as ‘Taiwan milk bubble tea’.
But before this particular Taiwanese version, there were other famous types of milk bubble tea. Earlier came to light the British bubble tea. The beverage was born in England in the 17th or 18th century. At this time, drinking tea was considered a hobby of the aristocracy and wealthy merchants.
How to make bubble milk tea?

Taiwan Bubble Milk Tea
Prepare:
- 30g Match Chau seeds
- 10g of black tea leaves
- 300ml milk (cow's or soy milk)
- 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup
Making bubble milk tea:
1. Black pearls: Soak pearl seeds overnight. Boil the water and pearl seeds mixture. When the water is boiling, wait 2-3 minutes for the seeds to soften, then turn off the heat. And let it cool.
2. Dairy tea: Boil 300ml of water in a pot. Put the black tea in the pot while the water is boiling. Boil it for 1 minute, then add the milk. Bring the mixture to a boil, then turn off the heat. And let it cool.
3. Add some pearls. Add 2 tablespoons of sugar syrup with half a cup of milk bubble tea mixture, Match Chau Seeds and black tea leaves. Fill a glass with ice and enjoy.
How to make Thai milk bubble tea?
Thai Bubble Milk Tea
Prepare:
- 3 tablespoons Thai red tea (or Thai green tea)
- 300 ml boiling water
- 2 tablespoons of sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tablespoons of unsweetened condensed milk
- 2 teaspoons of sugar
1. Making tea: use a coffee/tea filter racket because Thai tea is often crumbled. Put Thai red tea in the racket and dip it into a cup containing 300ml of boiling water. Soak for 5 minutes.
2. Next step: Add condensed milk and sugar to the brewed tea and stir well. Add a pinch of salt if you want to add flavor. Then stir well so that all the ingredients are mixed together. Let the tea cool.
3. Presentation: Fill a clean glass with ice. Pour the milk bubble tea mixture almost full glass. Place 2 tablespoons of unsweetened condensed milk on top for both garnish and flavor.
