Lime scale
As water boils going through temperatures, several processes take place that could reduce the quality of an electric kettle. Rust will first manifest itself in areas that are frequently exposed to high temperatures, such as the bottom of the jar.
In addition, heavy metal ions like calcium and magnesium present in water, particularly tap water, harden the water. From prolonged exposure to high temperature the deposits and stains appear and stick to the inner part of the kettle.
These residues compromise the drink's flavor and may be harmful to consumers. Users therefore should take the following steps to clean the electric kettle and alleviate health risks.

Potato peel
Clean some potatoes, peel and place the peels in the electric kettle with an appropriate amount of water. The scale can vanish after boiling for 10 minutes. Pour the mixture away and rinse the kettle with clean water.
Fresh tea leaves or loofah
Simply place a loofah in the kettle, and it will function as a filter to prevent residue buildup. It should be emphasized, nevertheless, that users should regularly replace the loofah and maintain it clean before putting it in the kettle. Alternatively, tea leaves may be used. To get rid of tough deposits, crush green tea leaves and add them to a saucepan of boiling water. Let them steep for approximately a day.
