Rang Dong's Internal Training To Enhance Workforce Skills
The training on rooftop solar power systems organized by the Lighting R&D Center of the Hanoi-based firm, fully known as Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, is part of efforts to build a skilled workforce to meet market demand and challenges as the firm undergoes its fifth year of digital transformation started in 2019.
Rang Dong is Vietnam’s leading manufacturer of LED products, vacuum flasks and provider of smart lighting solutions.
For years internal training has been considered part of Rang Dong’s corporate culture and traditions, which plays a crucial role in enhancing the workforce’s knowledge and skills.

The Center’s training session, in collaboration with Sales Department 2, was designed for marketing teams at the company branches in the cities of Can Tho and Bien Hoa, the southern province of Tien Giang as well as staff of Sales Centers 3 and 4.
Sales Department 2 operates in Vietnam’s central region incorporating the Central Highlands, as well as the southern region, with Can Tho city and 12 Mekong Delta provinces inclusive.
Rooftop solar power systems are part of a new lighting solution and product line of the company, and Rang Dong’s marketing team is required to acquire a solid understanding of technical aspects to effectively drive sales.

The internal training focused on several key areas, from introduction of solar systems, methods of installation and connection to details on setting up, operating and connecting electrical panels and inverters. The training also covered safety measures during installation.
In order to raise the training’s impact, the Lighting R&D Center collaborated with the Can Tho branch to install a rooftop solar power system for a customer in Can Tho city.
The hands-on experience allowed participants to apply knowledge in a real-world setting, reinforcing the concepts learned during the training.
The recent installation of a rooftop solar power system for a customer in Can Tho city, a collaboration between the Lighting R&D Center and the Sales Department, represents a highly effective training activity.
