Rang Dong Wins Four Hanoi Innovation Contest Awards

The Hanoi-based company, fully known as Rang Dong Light Source and Vacuum Flask Joint Stock Company, reached a significant milestone in its technological journey by securing four awards at the 2nd Hanoi Technical Innovation Contest. The four prizes were announced at the closing ceremony on November 13 of the event, a highly competitive and respected platform organized by the city's authorities to recognize and promote outstanding technological advancements in Vietnam's capital. 

The victory underscores Rang Dong's unrelenting commitment to research and development and demonstrates the depth and breadth of the company’s technological capabilities across multiple disciplines.  

The accolades serve as a powerful validation of Rang Dong’s mastery over core technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) and green energy. 

First Prize: Pioneering Safety with AI 

The contest’s First Prize went to Rang Dong’s groundbreaking “Electrical Safety Warning Solution using AI”.  

The solution represents a leap forward in infrastructure safety. By integrating AI into electrical monitoring systems, Rang Dong has moved beyond simple reactive measures to proactive prevention.  

The system detects anomalies early, identifying potential risks before they escalate into failures or accidents. This innovation drastically minimizes incidents in electrical grids, ensuring safety for users and stability for critical infrastructure. 

Second Prizes: Mastering Smart Manufacturing and Green Energy 

Rang Dong's versatility was highlighted by the award of two Second Prizes covering advanced manufacturing and sustainable energy. 

• Transforming manufacturing with AI vision: The award recognized Rang Dong’s success in “AI Image Processing Solutions”, following the successful upgrade of standard industrial robots into “smart robots”, capable of complex visual inspections. The technology is now deployed for automatic quality control in the company’s high-tech electronics factories to ensure zero-defect production. 

• Mastering smart solar technology: The second award honored Rang Dong’s initiative in “Mastering the Design, Manufacturing, and Quality Control of Smart Solar LED Products”. This signifies complete autonomy in the production of renewable energy solutions, reinforcing the company’s commitment to green lighting and energy efficiency.   

Third Prize: Enhancing Productivity through Robotics 

Rounding out the accolades was the Third Prize for “Effective Robotics Application on Semi-Automatic LED Production Lines”. 

This project focused on the practical application of robotics to break through productivity ceilings. By seamlessly integrating robots into semi-automated lines, Rang Dong has achieved breakthroughs in labor productivity, streamlining operations and reducing production costs.   

The four prizes are clear, tangible evidence of Rang Dong's strategic transformation. No longer just a manufacturer, the company has become a hub of innovation that masters core technologies.
