Keep electric kettle clean: hard water build-up removing tips
Before, people needed fire or use stopover to boil water for brewing tea, but now, we can save on gas by using electricity to help them enjoy this simple, but invigorating ritual. Electric kettle has replaced traditional ways of boiling water, helping us shorten the time remarkably. In order to use the most of the appliance and increase its lifespan, we need to know how to clean it properly.
What is Hard Water Build-up?
The build-up, also known as limescale, is usually created by minerals in the water. It is the white powdery deposits sticking to places where water stands inside the electric kettle. The scale often hardens as it begins to dry. Fortunately, using simple ingredients such as vinegar, citric acid or lime juice can help remove the deposit.
