Vietnam’s Parliament Seeks Digital Transformation Acceleration

Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh of the National Assembly, the country’s legislative body, made the request during a meeting on May 29 with a delegation from the Southeast Asian Research Association of Vietnam (SEARAV). Mr. Nguyen Doan Ket, Standing Deputy General Director of Rang Dong - Vietnam’s leading innovator in lighting and smart technology - was among the delegates joining the meeting.

The meeting was an occasion to look back at the 30-year development journey of SEARAV while honoring the contributions of intellectuals, researchers and entrepreneurs to the country’s expansion, Deputy Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh said. She called on SEARAV members to strengthen investment in research and development, proactively linking with scientific research institutions at home and abroad to master new technologies for making high value-added products, contributing to raising productivity and national competitiveness.
