Tips for choosing the most suitable travel flasks
Drinking tea or coffee while on the go has been common. A travel flask suitable for this purpose should be made of durable material, unharmful to the user's health. Choosing the ideal flask could be challenging given the wide variety of the products on the market. Before making the purchase, users may want to evaluate some of the following key criteria.
Size and capacity
Choosing a thermos with the right capacity depends on its usage. For those who lead a sedentary lifestyle, such as students and white-collar workers, a thermos holding less than 750 ml (about 25 oz) is appropriate.
For those who work outside or play sports, a capacity larger than 1 liter should be good to help avoid dehydration.
Material
Stainless steel
Lately most travel flasks are made of stainless steel, a chemical-free and durable material. The temperature of the beverage in storage can be maintained for an extended period by using the double-walled vacuum technology.
Plastic
Plastic thermoses are cheap, reusable, and easy to carry, but they can not retain heat for a long time. Furthermore, hot water can trigger the product's deformation.
Several plastic flasks are certified chemical-free, so users don't have to worry about allergic reactions or any other side effects.
Glass
Using this material, the thermos' advantages include long heat retention, easy cleaning and no alteration of the beverage's original flavor. However, it is fragile and the cost is high for each replacement with a new refill.

Heat retention
The finest flask should be able to maintain hot beverages for 12 hours, which means that a drink that starts out at 100 degrees C should reach 92 degrees C after that time. The cost of these flasks is typically the highest. As long as their information and specs are clear and reliable, we can choose the less expensive option.
Double-walled vacuum insulation can keep the beverage inside at its ideal temperature.
Some famous travel flask brands
Thermos, Zojirushi, Elmich, Hydro Flask, Stanley, and Rang Dong are regarded as prestige brands because of their high standards of quality and fashion. Their flasks are conveniently available in many supermarkets.
Manufacturers have diversified the styles and colors of travel flasks to meet consumer’s taste.
The LFGB and BS EN 12546-1:2000 international standards, among others, have been met by all of these flasks. The majority of them are made of stainless steel, with the exception of the travel mugs produced by Rang Dong, Vietnam's top vacuum flask maker, which employ glass liners.
The cost of each stainless steel mug ranges from USD 10 to USD 30. The travel flasks with glass liners cost just about USD 4–6.
